My Shield My Refuge

With the present incredible, and too often horrific world events it is more and more evident that these truly are the last days. Oh, sure that is a very tired and overused statement and it has been the downfall of many false teachers with date setting and “predictions” that the “end of the world” is on such and such date. We are not doomsayer’s.

The Bible prophesies very specific events leading to the return of Jesus Christ of Nazareth for His chosen (those who have recognized that they are sinners, have repented and have accepted Jesus as Savior).  Matthew 24 4-51 lays it out for us. It is our purpose to inform the public through our blog site of these events as they are happening before our eyes. Our local news media does not even cover the majority of these occurrences and various world news does a bit of a better job of it. Much of our news are sanitized and loaded with political correctness to numb the severity. Just because we do not necessarily hear about it on our newscast, does not mean it is not happening. Just because it is not happening in your neighborhood does not mean it is not happening.

A very brief summary:

• False teachers and doctrine abound. (eg Scientology, New Age, Seeker-friendly, end of the world date setters, etc)
• Social and political upheaval. Threat of world war 3.
• Natural calamities, animals washing up or dropping dead from the sky, historicaly severe weather, increase in earthquakes, sinkholes, drought, crop failures, famine etc.
• Christians are being persecuted, tortured and killed in alarming numbers.
• The increased acceptance of the blasphemy law, beheadings simply for offending someone; legalized murder.
• Signs in the heavens such as meteors, rare cosmic events, and reported trumpet blasts from the sky across the world.
• Increase in UFO sightings, increase in Hollywood preparing us for giantism, zombies (all nephilim), the destruction of America.
• Open dialogue about a one world government and a one world religion. Papal about-face on basic doctrine.
• RFI chips already in use and planned for Obamacare, state-enforced immunizations, and already used in our schools.

We will bring you the latest news and videos documenting the reality the “labor pains” ushering in the imminent return of God’s only begotten Son. Folks, we are running out of time to get right with God. This can seem overwhelming, frightening, and actually far-fetched, unbelievable. As rebellion and our enemies and devastating circumstances increase we can feel out numbered and hopeless.

Something like the biblical David was feeling when the entire nation turned against him?

As we look at Psalm 3, worse than any threat of people turning against David would have been the suggestion that God would not be his help. David was a man who trusted in God and not in others or himself.  God answers His faithful with help, and always at the right time. We know that anxiety, worry and stress can lead to sleeplessness and David’s insomnia was overcome by relating to the Lord in prayer. Even though thousands were following Absalom in revolt, David’s victory was not dependent on numbers, God rendered the ungodly powerless. And finally, David’s answer to the mockery: v8 “Salvation belongs to the Lord, Your blessing is upon Your people.”

We are in the last days, circumstances are escalating at an alarming rate. Alarming for those who have  not received Jesus Christ of Nazareth as their personal Savior. There are no second chances once the Lord comes for His people as some people are teaching and on which some books base their work of fiction on. This is not a time to mince words or for political correctness.  Here’s the fact: we have all sinned and fallen short and we all need a sinless Savior because heaven can not be earned, bought or “inherited” from our saved loved ones! Being “good” does not cut it because we could never, ever be good enough.

We have a powerful shield and a perfect place of refuge.

God is our Shield.

Genesis 15:1, 2 Samuel 22:31, Psalm 18:2, Psalm 84:11.

Psalm 91:4 “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”

Faith is our shield.

Ephesians 6:16 “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.”

God is our refuge.

Deuteronomy 33:27, 2 Samuel 22:3, Psalm 14:6, Psalm 46:1, Psalm 57:1, Psalm 62:8, Psalm 71:7, Psalm 91:2.

Hebrews 6:17-20  “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath 18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the Forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Let’s learn together; get informed about the world events and how they relate to prophesies spoken thousands of years ago and fulfill His command (not a suggestion) in Mark 16:15, And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
